Susie Heywood

Susie joined Create in October 2008 after many years working in the education sector and an amazing year spent travelling in Africa, Asia and the Pacific. Since then she has been an integral part of the research and evaluation team providing a wide range of support functions including facilitation of focus groups and telephone interviews. Projects Susie has supported includes the Review of Youth Health Service Provision in Glasgow City and an evaluation of Emotional Literacy Training for Nursery staff in North and South East Glasgow CHCPs.

More recently Susie has taken a lead role in the evaluation of an Emotional Literacy Transition Programme for the North Glasgow Youth Stress Centre.

In 2010 Susie became more actively involved in our schools work including curriculum development. She has recently worked with Falkirk and Stirling Councils to develop materials and guidance for health and wellbeing education. In addition she had worked on a series of lessons on domestic abuse and teenage abusive relationships, an area in which she has a growing interest.

In 2001 Susie completed an honours degree in Theology and Religious Studies and she has maintained an interest in cultural and humanitarian issues.
